Ashton Works Factory

Electrical design, lighting design and installation of a new build scheme at new factory.

On behalf of Carter Construction and The Metalworks, Eaton Electrical worked from budget, through to tender and contract awarded, to secure the electrical design, lighting design and installation of a new build scheme at Ashton Works factory.

Eaton Electrical was responsible for the complete electrical design and installation of this project, incorporating low energy LED factory and office/external lighting, containment, factory power, small power, data, telephone, fire detection and DDA alarms. We also coordinated and procured specialist subcontractors to install intruder alarm systems, door entry systems and a lightning protection system.

During the design stage, the client expressed an interest in low energy lighting that would save on energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Eaton Electrical was tasked with producing a suitable LED lighting scheme, given their extensive knowledge in this area. We successfully applied for and won a grant from the Carbon Trust that was managed and coordinated entirely in-house. The end result is a spectacular lighting installation that is energy efficient and affordable.

Co-ordinated CAD drawings including circuit references and a full Amtech electrical design were produced entirely in house.

The project was completed on schedule to an unusually tight 5 week construction programme in order to meet the client’s Christmas deadline.
