Eaton Electrical were recently approached to work closely with Waitrose building services, as main contractor and project manager, to upgrade the partner toilets and cloakrooms at the Waitrose store in Crowborough.

After receiving the initial enquiry from Waitrose, Eaton worked with building services and store management to redesign the layout of all partner toilets and cloakrooms to suit their specific requirements.

In keeping with the company’s strict health and safety requirements, government regulations, and Eaton’s own procedures, a full site survey was undertaken to ascertain the detail of the project, health and safety implications, manual handling routes and welfare facilities. A bespoke health and safety package was produced, closely tying in with the ‘Waitrose Small Project health and safety compliance checklist’ requirements.

Following completion of works on site, the area was officially handed over to the branch, with an O&M manual provided including all technical and operational information of the equipment installed.

The Waitrose building services team were delighted with the service that Eaton Electrical provided, from initial design, to meeting health and safety requirements, and project management. The new layout ‘has made all the difference’ and the team have placed orders for further refurbishment projects in other branches.
