A new occupiers’ survey has shown that sustainable buildings are at the bottom of most business owner’s checklists when looking for new premises.
The research, which questioned 150 business owners in the Midlands, found that just 13.6% of occupiers would cite sustainability as a major factor in a move decision.
Factors which rated more highly were location (87.9%), quality (69.7%), and dedicated car parking (68.2%). However, it’s worth noting that having these factors does not necessarily mean a business has to compromise on sustainability.
