New research carried out by YouGov has found that 68% of UK workers work to improve their workplace energy efficiency.
After polling 1,118 workers from across the UK, the survey found that hospitality and leisure workers cared the most about energy efficiency (82%), with financial workers (77%) and manufacturing workers (76%) also ranking highly.
However, despite the high percentages of workers who reported that they cared, only 62% of workers confirmed that their employers had invested in energy saving measures. Less than 50% said that their workplace ensured that lights and computers were turned off when not needed, and only 18% reported that their employer carried out regular energy audits.
