8 staff members from Eaton Electrical are taking on the challenge of the 2014 Robin Hood half marathon in Nottingham.  For most members of the team it will be the first time that they have run the 13.1 mile distance.  The team have been inspired to take part to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and to raise overall fitness levels within the company.

Half marathon“We have until September to get ready and the training has already got well underway. Some of us will definitely need that long to prepare for the big day!” comments Luke Czerpak, Contracts Manager at Eaton Electrical.

The event is one of the most popular marathon and half marathon races in the UK and takes in many highlights of the city including the tree-lined University Boulevard, Castle Boulevard, Trent Bridge cricket ground & Nottingham Forest Football Club.

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and push for better cancer care. One in three people will get cancer. Two million people in the UK are living with cancer at any one time.
