Renovation, safety and update work on heritage site

Eaton Electrical are pleased to have worked with the Chateau Gainsborough to ensure that this historic building meets modern safety standards.

The Chateau Gainsborough, Lincolnshire was built in 1747 as a weekend cottage, and was continually occupied until 1914. The Chateau was left to fall into disrepair until 1982, when it was taken over by the Landmark Trust.

Eaton Electrical were asked to help to preserve the building’s unique heritage and period features whilst bringing it up to modern safety standards. Eaton worked on the fixed wiring within the Chateau, whilst the rest of the property underwent significant renovation works.

Contracts Manager at Eaton Electrical Luke Czerpak comments on the work undertaken: “Working to bring a period property up to current health and safety standards whilst keeping the historical integrity of a building in place is always a challenge that Eaton Electrical relish.”

“We were able to update the lighting and power supply within the Chateau whilst allowing the period features to stay intact.”
