Eaton Electrical Ltd recently completed the CAT A &CAT B works to the LRH Newhall Street Birmingham. The installation consisted of two halves a CAT A fit out of lighting to the 1st, part of the second, part of the third, 4th and 5th floors of the building the installation of circa 750 1200 x600 LED panel fittings suspended from the fabric of the building, cabling was run on tray containment and fed LCM modules.CAT B Works these works comprised of adapting the existing lighting to allow for the installation of the new portioning walls and the re location of fittings from different floors, the supply and installation of all feature lighting to meeting rooms, break out areas and reception. All lighting is controlled via PIR detection with override switches for meeting rooms. We installed various double sockets outlets throughout the floor in partition walls these consitied of being a flush matt black finish and surface metal clad. The supply and install of 5 new Ac supplies which had to be pulled from various floor location to the roof of the building these units where for the server rooms with the installation of new containment to support the cable throughout its entire run. We installed a basket containment system under the raised access floor with a divider for segregation of the power and data cabling. The main power was a busbar system below the raised access for the power all desk positions these where fed from the main power distribution in a swa cable and terminated into the busbar which was mounted on shallow strut. From there we installed double socket outlets onto the tap offs and install floor grommet for access to power and data for desks. We installed floor boxes. We completed the data install of 604 data points to various locations throughout the building these where for desks, tv’s cctv and security and wifi throughout the building. Once the job was completed we provided a full O&M manual along with as fitted drawings.
